As is often the case, and as I often argue, it is the approach that makes the difference. Last week at Art Basel Miami Beach, Ralph Pucci unveiled his new art and design gallery-a sprawling 10,000-square-foot space in the Wynwood neighborhood of Miami, known for its vibrant street art, museums, and galleries.
Pucci has been a pioneer in collectible design since the ’70s.
For the grand opening, veteran French designer and artist Élisabeth Garouste transformed the building’s industrial facade with a whimsical 100-foot mural called “Strange Vegetations,” depicting flora, facades and cellular structures.
It serves as the first work in the gallery’s mural program.
Ralph Pucci-and now siblings Michael and Nicole Pucci, who are leading the company into its seventh decade-have wholeheartedly embraced the launch, reinforcing the gallery’s commitment to “creative craftsmanship.
