This project stems from the idea of transforming a historic residence into a cultural and residential ecosystem. What I find particularly compelling is that the goal is not merely to host art, but to create a journey where the collection engages with the spaces, the people, and the city, delivering a coherent experience of both aesthetic and cultural value.
Casabianca embodies a strategic vision of integration between art, hospitality, and design. Paolo and Antonella De Santis have conceived the historic villa in Como as a space where the contemporary art collection becomes an intrinsic part of daily life and urban experience. Expansive rooms and intimate spaces host Italian and international works, engaging in dialogue with period furnishings to create a balance between aesthetics, functionality, and atmosphere. The presence of Cova on the ground floor extends the hospitality concept, offering a sensory continuum between taste and artistic vision. Casabianca is not a museum but a cultural hub that generates value for the city and the region, serving as a model where memory, innovation, and creative design converge. The opening of three suites in 2026 will mark the next evolution, reinforcing the villa’s role as a dynamic space for those who view art and culture as a distinctive lever of excellence.
