During my time in Paris these days, I had the opportunity to witness a rather unusual pop-up installation, an “homage to the culture of dishwashing areas” that aims to merge with the kitchen and dishwashing culture.
Decorated with bright colors, the plates dominate the scene.
These “Dirty Dishes” are a limited series of cheeky plates created by Harry Nuriev of Crosby Studios and Luca Pronzato of WE ARE ONA to mark the launch of one of their dinnerware collections.
I was struck by how these dirty plates harmonize with the culinary rhythm of the installation, suggesting the unfinished business in the kitchen or the possibility that these plates will never be rid of their stains due to clogged and overflowing sinks.
