Reflecting on the final result, which is rich in both style and meticulous detail, I find it particularly exciting to remember that the most exciting part was figuring out how to respectfully transform such a historically significant place and tailor it into something entirely new and bespoke, breathing new life into the palazzo.
Film director Luca Guadagnino’s interior design studio reimagined a historic palazzo in Rome, Italy, and transformed it into a luxury hotel. The property, now called Palazzo Talia, is located in a 16th century building that once served as a school for underprivileged children.
The architectural grandeur of these historic spaces now forms the backdrop for Palazzo Talia, a hotel that combines the warm intimacy of a welcoming home with the grandeur of a place steeped in history.
To achieve this balance, the monumental spaces have been reinterpreted as theatrical settings. The rooms, both refined and elegant, have been meticulously designed using high quality materials and showcase the mastery of Italian craftsmanship.
