The world of business services has always been a focus for us, especially those with the ability to add value and those with that extra touch that is visible to the naked eye.
I have fond memories of meeting Robert Thiemann some twenty years ago. He was already well known in the design world for Frame magazine, which he ran for 26 years. Recently, Robert stepped down from his position at the helm of that publication to focus on a venture of his own that I find particularly intriguing given its vertical integration and alignment with his extensive experience in the industry: Betterness.
“We spend about 90 percent of our time indoors. It’s time to make every space truly matter.”
The goal is to empower companies and institutions to imagine, design and build spaces that truly matter in an ever-changing world. By prioritizing health and well-being, these environments are designed to minimize their environmental footprint. They’re designed to help people excel at what they do – whether it’s working, shopping, playing or living – and to foster connections.
These spaces engage the senses and provide tangible experiences in an increasingly digital world. While no one truly owns these spaces, everyone shares the responsibility for preserving them for future generations. Ultimately, this represents a significant opportunity to bring businesses and institutions together with architects, artists, designers, manufacturers, scientists and technologists to achieve common goals.
