A week ago, I had the opportunity to explore the newly transformed 10 Corso Como in Milan. My curiosity was piqued by how the spaces and interiors have been redesigned to seamlessly integrate various sectors, including entertainment, shopping and culture, making it one of the most prestigious gallery spaces in the world.
The innovative architectural approach by interdisciplinary agency 2050+ employs a series of micro-tactical strategies that foster smooth transitions and connections between different experiences, spanning design, art, photography, food and urban nature. The renovation, which began in November 2023, encompasses the entire building.
Originally established in a former Coca-Cola warehouse, the venue has undergone significant transformation, thanks in particular to the creative input of American artist Kris Ruhs. It has become an essential destination for those passionate about fashion and design, ultimately earning recognition as the world’s first concept store.
