For years, fashion stores have been celebrated as creative exercises in architecture and interior design, enhancing their brand image. Interestingly, this approach isn’t exclusive to major brands.
Smaller companies have also recognized the value of shaping the right perception to attract their target audience effectively.
A notable example is the Chinese firm Say Architects, which designed a concept store for the fashion brand Nice Rice in the coastal resort of Aranya.
The store features bright orange tiles and furniture, intentionally crafted to evoke the warm hues of a sunset. Due to the individuality of the site and the splendid geolocation, Say Architects hopes to bring the orange sea of Aranya inside and build a gold coast that never ends, using light as an expressive medium to create undulating volumes and intertwining lights and shadows.
Spanning 290 square meters, the store is spread across three floors, with retail spaces occupying the first two levels and a rooftop terrace accessible from the upper floor. In recent months, this project has even garnered nominations for several design awards.
