When I first saw the empty spaces atop the new Riverside stand, I immediately sensed the potential to create something truly exceptional: not just any club, but a place that could combine energy, elegance, and sociability, with a strong identity of its own and a commanding view over the city and river.
Lighthouse Social represents a singular milestone in the landscape of private clubs: three floors designed to welcome, surprise, and deliver an unparalleled experience within a Premier League stadium. The 1,000 sqm of lounges, salons, dining areas, and private rooms flow seamlessly, guided by a meticulously considered layout. Venetian plaster walls, bespoke joinery, and carefully selected materials create warm, refined corners, while the 200 sqm panoramic terrace opens onto expansive views of the London skyline.
Led by Stuart Forbes Associates, the project was executed from initial planning to final finishes, in close collaboration with the acclaimed French interior designers Dion et Arles, who contributed original and distinctive concepts. The goal extended beyond furnishing a space—it was about crafting an architecture of experience: environments designed to encourage socialising, working, or simply relaxing in an elegant, contemporary setting.
The result is a club distinguished by lightness, glamour, and an authentic atmosphere, appealing not only to supporters but also to the wider community and discerning visitors—a prime example of how a visionary idea can be transformed into an iconic destination poised to endure across generations.
