A few days ago, Stockholm Design Week, one of the most important design events in Northern Europe, concluded a successful edition. One of the highlights that caught my attention was a space that stood out among the exhibitions because of its functional design.
The Reading Room was an interactive installation that emphasized the use of minimal resources.
Created by the renowned Italian design studio Formafantasma, which was the guest of honor at Design Week, this site-specific temporary installation was intriguing.
It provided a platform for reflection on the design system as a catalyst for social and environmental change.
Rather than focusing solely on products, the installation emphasized knowledge, ideas and visions for the future.
Designed as a quiet space to sit, read, reflect and immerse oneself in the ideas that shaped the studio’s work, it offered a refreshing perspective.
