Espace Gabrielle Chanel, launched at the Power Station of Art in Shanghai, redefines the concept of cultural space in Asia by integrating exhibition areas, a library, a theatre, and a design center into a coherent, fluid experience. Designed by Japanese architect Kazunari Sakamoto, the center establishes a dialogue between architecture and content, offering encounters that encourage discovery and engagement. The inaugural exhibition curated by Hou Hanru, alongside the performance All Possible Bodies AP91 (2025) by Xiao Ke and Zi Han, reflects a contemporary sensibility balancing artistic experimentation with social reflection.
