I read and often find myself working with clients who are constantly seeking innovation in retail. It’s a theme, especially when viewed from the perspective of how to merge seemingly distant worlds but in reality, now very close: physical space, technology, artificial intelligence, digital, customer experience, and so on, all within a context of high competitiveness regardless of industry sectors.
An interesting challenge that I’ve seen, to which an innovative response was provided, is that of Son of a Tailor in Copenhagen, which questioned how to create an engaging retail experience for their made-to-order brand.
In the new space just opened in the city, the first thing you encounter is the SON Mirror.
It combines artificial intelligence and image recognition technology to instantly measure your body.
It also allows you to try their wide range of colors without changing garments even once, in a simple and immediate way.
It will be interesting to see if these opportunities will be replicable online, as further development.
