Innovation, technology and new materials are permeating all industries, and I’d like to highlight this project because it’s certainly a game changer for sports fans and beyond.
The NBA made a groundbreaking move by installing a state-of-the-art full-video LED court, developed by ASB GlassFloor, at Lucas Oil Stadium for the NBA All-Star 2024 events held last weekend.
This high-performance, immersive sports floor is meticulously designed to enhance the fan experience both in the arena and on broadcast platforms through its interactive displays.
During each event, the court will feature a variety of visual effects, including dynamic design and color changes, live replays, real-time game statistics, location-based player tracking animations, interactive fan games during timeouts, and compelling animations following key plays and moments.
The unveiling of the new product marks a significant milestone in the evolution of indoor sports.
It represents the first use of this technology in a live event of this magnitude in the United States.
The NBA’s decision to debut this new court surface underscores its unwavering commitment to innovation and leadership in the development of basketball.
