In the high-end fitness space, true innovation does not lie in adding services, but in the ability to rethink the experience as a system. I am interested when marketing, wellness culture and operational design converge into a recognizable model, built not only to attract, but to reshape how people inhabit a space.
One Playground interprets the contemporary club as an experience platform rather than a simple gym. The brand defines its model as a superboutique: access to fitness and wellness under one roof, with facilities, coaches and equipment designed to act together on body and mind. Its trajectory begins with a small bootcamp in Surry Hills and evolves through a precise question around real value for members: not just machines or infrastructure, but people, relationships and quality of time spent. From this emerges an approach aligned with innovation marketing, as the brand’s evolution is not framed as a restyling, but as a progressive transformation of environment and experience. In 2013, the vision was to create a playground for training; over time, the project expanded beyond fitness to include health, wellbeing, programs, community and internal training. The mission Inspire Change becomes a strategic position: designing the future of the sector while maintaining a human scale, where the member is not treated as a number. Creativity is not decorative, but organizational: it generates formats, pathways, roles and a brand language capable of sustaining recognizable growth.
