It’s been about 4 or 5 years since I last visited the Vitra Design Museum. This is a good opportunity to revisit soon, especially with the opening of the exhibition “Transform! Designing the Future of Energy” in a few days.
Buildings, infrastructure and devices for generating, distributing and using energy are all products of human creativity.
The exhibition explores the ongoing energy transition from a design perspective, showcasing everything from renewable energy harvesting devices to solar buildings and wind turbines.
It will be fascinating to see how design can help us transition to renewable energy and reduce our energy consumption.
The exhibits will include examples of innovative and experimental product design, speculative design projects, films, architectural archetypes and visionary futures.
