You may also have noticed that there are some very defined and unique concepts in retail that, over the years, have maintained their popularity and a significant following of customers. Often this involves a rather distinctive approach to their choices, but it is perhaps these very choices that determine their success.
From its historic London location and after a series of openings, the new Dover Street Market space arrives in Paris, entirely designed by Rei Kawakubo, the Japanese designer behind the iconic fashion label Comme des Garçons.
The nature of the design, which embodies “New Chaos,” offers visitors the opportunity to discover the space as well as the brands and pieces it houses.
No garments will be visible from the outside, and there will be no dedicated spaces or concessions.
The idea of the store is to let customers do the work of finding the pieces they want.
Inside, there is also the Rose Bakery café and an area that will host events.
