Collaborations that achieve long-term relevance rarely stop at simple co-branding. In my view, product design becomes both a research tool and a strategic instrument: it allows two distinct identities to explore a shared territory and translate it into forms, materials and functions that no longer belong to a single brand.
The collaboration Kith for On Spring 2026 operates within this framework. The partnership between the New York brand Kith and the Swiss performance label On results in a collection that merges running technology with a contemporary lifestyle language. Alongside footwear and apparel, the project introduces a focused range of performance accessories. The Lightweight Cap 2.0 uses recycled polyester, breathable inner bands, perforated side panels and reflective branding to create a technical yet visually distinctive object, while the Waist Pack Lite 2L combines ripstop nylon, breathable mesh and reflective co-branding to balance durability, lightness and portability. The interest of the initiative lies not only in the intersection between sport and lifestyle but in the way that convergence is translated into coherent, specific products, forming a design synthesis that reinforces the identity of both brands through a shared vocabulary.
