Curated by the visionary duo Formafantasma, Prada Frames is far more than a conventional series of talks—it is a true interdisciplinary laboratory where science, design, and culture engage in critical and constructive dialogue. Launched in 2022, the project is distinguished by its ability to explore complex topics through a design-oriented lens, involving international guests and offering reflections on a global scale.
This year, the focus turns to the intersection of mobility, infrastructure, and the environment, in a world where the movement of goods flows far more freely than that of people. The In Transit talks delve into the impact of logistics systems, digitalization, and new infrastructure on our daily lives. What emerges is a clear-eyed analysis of the contradictions inherent in contemporary hypermobility—where technological progress increasingly clashes with geopolitical constraints.
Adding symbolic weight to the 2025 edition is the choice of venue: the prestigious Royal Pavilion of Milan’s Central Station, alongside the beautifully restored carriages of the iconic Arlecchino train. Designed in the 1950s by Giò Ponti and Giulio Minoletti, this masterpiece of engineering and design has been brought back to life thanks to the Fondazione FS Italiane. It serves as a bridge between eras, connecting the visionary aesthetics of the past with the complex demands of the present.
