I have always believed that innovation must engage in constant dialogue with artisanal excellence—especially when it comes to luxury. For me, creativity lies in the ability to blend vision with tradition, and there is no better expression of this balance than a space where beauty, craftsmanship, and innovation come together every day.
It is with this mindset that I view the expansion of Bulgari’s manufacturing facility in Valenza—a tangible example of how luxury can evolve without ever losing its soul.
Located in the heart of Italy’s Piedmont region, Bulgari has inaugurated the expansion of its production site, which now spans 33,000 square meters. This makes it the largest single-brand jewelry manufacturing facility in the world—an important milestone that reinforces the strategic role this hub plays in the maison’s long-term vision.
But this is more than just a production site. It is a space designed to educate, inspire, and shape the future. Powered entirely by renewable energy, the expanded facility consists of three buildings and is now home to the new Scuola Bvlgari—the brand’s first publicly accessible training center. This new initiative complements the well-established Bvlgari Jewelry Academy, which has been training master artisans since 2017.
With this ambitious project, Bulgari aims to double its production capacity by 2029 and the site will also grow in terms of employment.
The facility also stands out for its strong connection to contemporary art. It houses two major installations: Serpenti by Zaha Hadid and Vista Aeterna by Sabine Marcelis. Serving as a symbolic bridge between the original structure and the newly inaugurated expansion is a mural by street artist Lucamaleonte, visually narrating the evolution of this extraordinary place.
