Double Slash // Coffee Space at Rama3 embodies a dynamic yet simple architectural aesthetic inspired by the 1930s streamline modern style.
Founded in Rama8, it reflects the industrial designer’s practice of creating space between ideas by using parallel oblique lines to symbolize flow, movement, and continuity.
The building’s curved forms and angled planning orientation create a sense of flow and movement without excessive ornamentation, drawing influence from Art Deco’s international style. With curved walls, floating rounded glass corners, and a two-toned oblique floor pattern that blurs the interior-exterior boundary through a central glass panel, visitors can contemplate sensations amidst Bangkok’s bustling city.
