Having worked in the service industry for years, I am particularly drawn to high value-added industries, which by definition are a blend of ideas, marketing and communications. It is not very common to come across new projects that are truly unique and have never been seen before.
Mathieu Lehanneur, the French designer of the Paris 2024 Olympic torch, has created a very special place where one lucky couple can book a one-night stay in the Musée d’Orsay’s clock room, transformed into a bedroom with breathtaking views of the city and the Seine.
Located on the fifth floor of the former Gare d’Orsay station, the room features a 125-year-old clock and is the first to host this initiative. It’s a space that’s both romantic and contemporary, intimate and sumptuous – like a “daydream” that’s part of Airbnb’s new Icons series inspired by art, film and sports.
