Roberts Projects, situated in the Mid-Wilshire district of Los Angeles, is an art gallery housed within a refurbished 1940s automobile showroom.
The building’s exterior has been redesigned to harmonize with the neighboring industrial warehouses, resulting in an enhanced retail experience for visitors strolling along La Brea Boulevard.
Inside the gallery, visitors can explore a range of spaces, including a spacious central hall, project rooms, and a permanent niche dedicated to the work of Betye Saar.
The gallery’s symmetrical layout has been designed to accommodate a variety of creative output, from art publications to site-specific installations, with functional back-of-house areas like storage, loading, and offices.
