Hungarian designer and visual artist Miklós Kiss, also known as kissmiklos, has redefined this expectation with his latest project, the POP&ROLL Art Toilet.
This project has transformed the ordinary experience of a public restroom into a vibrant, immersive spectacle.
Located in Budapest, the Art Toilet blends functionality with artistic expression, featuring 20 individual toilets displaying over 100 of Kissmiklos’ artworks.
Inspired by the interiors of Eastern European spas and pools in Budapest, as well as the nostalgic world of 80s and 90s gaming, the Art Toilet is designed with whimsical precision in kissmiklos’ signature neo-pop style.
He refers to the project as a “Gesamtkunstwerk,” proving that contemporary art can be both enlightening and entertaining.
