I have always been fascinated by the subtle art of discretion, a concept that fits perfectly with one of today’s most coveted lifestyles: discreet luxury. This concept not only embodies a way of life, but also represents one of the most important trends in the world of luxury marketing: the stealth launch.
We have all noticed a growing demand from a certain clientele for exclusivity and privacy in every aspect of their experience.
Recently, in the heart of Paris, I witnessed an initiative that could be described as an “anti-hotel” for the ultra-rich. Chopard, a renowned manufacturer of luxury jewelry and watches, quietly opened the doors to this establishment, ushering in a new era of Parisian hospitality. A semi-private hotel that resembles a truly beautiful family home.
Prior to the official opening, there was neither the usual flurry of social media posts from influencers, nor any campaigns other than a direct invitation to the brand’s clients and a select group of potential guests.
Even the structure of the hotel, which is located above Chopard’s existing boutique on the famous Place Vendôme, is discreetly integrated into the environment without any signage; in fact, there’s a risk that the entrance might not be so obvious. A minimalist approach to hospitality in every sense of the word.
