What I find particularly fascinating is that the transformative business approach is increasingly spreading across disciplines, cultures, and countries.
Sure, most of it is happening in certain countries, in certain industries, and with certain brands, but not exclusively.
Originally built as a museum dedicated to the communist dictator Enver Hoxha, the Pyramid of Tirana has undergone a radical transformation into a new type of cultural center as a result of the intervention of MVRDV, a contemporary architecture studio.
By redesigning the concrete structure, the Pyramid has become an open sculpture in a new park.
The park and the sculpture house a collection of colorful boxes, scattered inside and around the original building, that house cafes, studios, workshops, start-up offices, incubators, festivals, and classrooms where young Albanians can learn various technological subjects for free.
Steps have been added to the building’s sloping facades, allowing the Albanian people to literally walk all over the structure.
