The architecture studio Effekt has officially unveiled a new nature experience in the heart of Norway’s Telemark region.
Soaring 15 meters above the ground, the Treetop Walkway in Hamaren Activity Park provides a unique perspective on the mountainous pine forest of Fyresdal.
This canopy walkway is the first of its kind in Norway, designed to be accessible to all nature enthusiasts regardless of age, disability, or physical limitations.
Through a carefully designed walk, Effekt aimed to reconnect people with nature and enhance their experience.
Visitors are taken on a slow and poetic journey through the forest canopy, culminating in an exhilarating panoramic view of the lake against the sky at a height of 60 meters above the lake’s water level.
While it may be a small contribution in the grand scheme of things, the goal is to set an example by providing free and universal access to the site’s awe-inspiring nature.
A spacious circular viewpoint with a diameter of 50 meters at the trail’s end provides a breathtaking 360-degree vista of the pine forest, pristine lakes, and striking rock formations that define the natural landscape.
