A former mountain station of the Plan de Corones cable car at 2,265 meters has been transformed into Lumen – Museum of Mountain Photography. This space celebrates the mountains through curated photographs and objects, highlighting the intricate bond between humanity and nature.
Designed by architect Gerhard Mahlknecht, with exhibitions by Giò Forma and collaborators, LUMEN immerses visitors in the Dolomite landscape through clever mirror installations and engaging displays.
Spanning 1,800 square meters over four floors, the museum includes a multi-purpose conference hall for 200 guests, a bookshop, and the AlpiNN restaurant. AlpiNN, part of Norbert Niederkofler’s Cook the Mountain concept, delivers mountain-inspired cuisine that reflects the essence of the region.
