Personally, I have never focused on animals in my business career, although I have a fondness for most species. However, there are notable initiatives in the sector that stand out for their innovative approaches, especially when it comes to services.
One such example is Muttville, a space entirely dedicated to the rescue of dogs, where there are no cages. The design is vibrant, relying on clever functionality and playful aesthetic details, courtesy of celebrity designer Ken Fulk, to attract visitors and increase adoption rates.
The space features a pink-tiled glamour room with custom wallpaper, a kitchen that mimics an Italian cafe, Victorian-style offices and an outdoor courtyard adorned with murals. Throughout the facility, senior rescue dogs are free to roam as they please.
This bold approach has been so successful that it inspired the founder to develop an even more ambitious and groundbreaking project aimed at creating a welcoming environment for both dogs and people and building a community where dogs can get a fresh start.
