I’ve always found reinterpretations of products and services fascinating, especially when they incorporate one or more elements that enhance their value and appeal beyond their original purpose. In this particular case, it starts with a hotel pool and evolves into a site-specific art installation that blends naturally with the surrounding landscape.
Le Sirenuse, a family-run boutique hotel in the picturesque coastal town of Positano, unveils its latest contemporary commission: a stunning pool completely reinvented by figurative artist Nicolas Party.
Party has transformed the pool terrace into an immersive and playful environment where organic forms intertwine and dance underwater.
After creating a final sketch of the pool in his favorite medium, pastels, Party took on the challenge of translating his vision into mosaics.
He worked with Bisazza, Italy’s leading glass mosaic company, to reproduce his design on hundreds of sequentially numbered square panels, each measuring 15 tiles in length and width.
