I’m also a member of the generation that grew up with print media, and given the nature of my work, I’ve always been a big fan of magazines. Even now, despite the migration to the digital world, I continue to read and collect international publications.
One of the most interesting Italian (and Milanese) products, due to its rather unique approach, is Cabana, an inspirational magazine dedicated to interior design, which over time has developed collections dedicated to the art de la table.
Now, as it celebrates its tenth anniversary, it’s opening its first retail store in Milan to showcase its world of products.
Founded in London in 2014 by Martina Mondadori, Christoph Radl and Gianluca Reina, the magazine is characterized by the fact that each issue is created in collaboration with a brand, combining Italian elegance with British eccentricity.
The covers are always made of fabric to add a tactile dimension to the experience: it’s a collector’s item, an ode to beauty dedicated above all to interior design and a unique style of living.
The first Cabana magazine was launched in collaboration with Pierre Frey, followed by partners such as Gucci, Ralph Lauren, Burberry, Etro, Loewe and Loro Piana. It’s a biannual magazine printed like a book.
