To blend in with its surroundings, the Gurdau Winery in the Czech Republic, designed by local firm Aleš Fiala Studio, features a curved, grass-covered concrete roof that resembles an artificial hill.
The winery is located in a picturesque landscape of rolling green fields and vineyards outside the village of Kurdějov.
This town boasts a proud history as one of the most important wine-producing areas in the region and has recently experienced a surge in wine tourism.
The architects carefully considered the winery’s location in the open countryside and worked to integrate it seamlessly into the surrounding environment.
